VOLUNTEER WITH THE GAMES!We depend greatly on our volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks such as working with kids games, helping out with the car show, ticket control, ice, water, & lunch distribution, clan set up, information & merchandise tent, personnel transport, and more. Individuals, groups, folks 16 and over are all welcome.

Join international best-selling author and BBC TV presenter Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker, for his return to Virginia Scottish Games 2026.At this special festival appearance, Coinneach will share stories from the Hebrides, bringing to life the traditions, characters and landscapes that have shaped his cooking. He’ll talk through recipes from Scotland and, in true island style, there may even be a traditional song or two from the islands!Named “Very Sexy, Very Scottish, Very Outlander,” by Elle Magazine, he was born and raised on the beautiful island of Lewis in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, Coinneach brings together family recipes, Scottish flavours and the rich myths and legends of island life. His four cookbooks have made him Scotland’s best-selling cookbook author, loved for their warmth, storytelling and sense of place.He is the star of the BBC series Hebridean Baker: Nordic Islands, where he travels across Scandinavia exploring the food, culture and people of remote island communities.
Each guest will also have the opportunity to meet Coinneach and get a cookbook personally signed - the perfect keepsake from a memorable festival experience.
